Shift Supervisor

Job Title: Shift Supervisor, Community-Based Supported Living

 

Position Description: The Shift Supervisor will share in administrative duties for one of Lifeworks’ supported living homes, located in Shaker Heights, Ohio.  The Shift Supervisor will help to coordinate all supportive services that are delivered on behalf of the home’s residents.  They will engage with staff and service recipients across shifts, ensuring that model practices are being employed.  The Shift Supervisor will share in the management of cases, assist with the development and maintenance of the staff schedule, train and supervise ASD Service Specialists, ensure the presence of top-notch clinical practices (consistent with the Monarch Model), ensure the clients’ safety, maximize client quality of life and self-direction, assist in the oversight of the clients’ healthcare, ensure compliance with regulatory and agency standards, and liaise/ collaborate with other involved Lifeworks programs.  The Shift Supervisor will work as part of an interdisciplinary team and report to the Director of Supported Living Services. 

      

A Bachelor’s degree is required.  Candidates are preferred to possess strong clinical skills, including a familiarity with, if not expertise in Autism Spectrum Disorders, Behaviorism, crisis intervention, and the Monarch Model.  Applicants’ ability to exhibit prompt decision-making and action, particularly under stressful circumstances, will be weighted favorably.  Sensitivity in relating to persons of varying backgrounds and the ability to work with diverse groups of people is requisite.  Leadership skills, including the ability to perform job responsibilities with a high degree of initiative and independent judgment is also required.
